    Cool site.

Is there good data available that indicate that the shelf life measurements you are offering correlate with the viability of vitamins and other sensitive nutrients?

Why is there a cut off for the tests at 13 weeks? Is this when your data points usually have reached a plateau?

    Thank you,

    Heidi

    Heidi,

There is really not a good way to run accelerated shelf life and establish a correct correlation with vitamin and nutrient degradation. Typically when accelerated shelf life testing is preformed, sensory characteristic degradation and fat oxidation are evaluated. The 13 weeks is really just an arbitrary point used as a simple example, it is completely dependent on the product . Please e-mail me if you have further questions at erin@midwestlabs.com

    Thanks,
    Erin Smith
